Claims Procedures

Important Note: Insurance companies vary in their requirements for submitting claims …
Be sure to check your own insurance company’s policy for the specifics as all claims are subject to terms, conditions and exclusions. Failure to meet their requirements could adversely affect your insurance benefits.

Generally, you will need to follow these three steps to report a claim:

  1. CALL THE ASSISTANCE CENTRE OR CLAIMS DEPARTMENT OF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY:
    In the case of an emergency or hospitalization, call the Assistance Centre within 24 hours. If you are personally unable to do so, have someone else contact them on your behalf as soon as possible.
  2. SUBMIT YOUR CLAIM:
    Report your claim within 30 days by completing a claim form and submitting it to your Insurance Company by mail, or through their website or app if applicable.
  3. MAIL SUPPORTING PROOF:
    Mail all original supporting forms, receipts and documents to your Insurance Company within 90 days of the emergency. Remember to keep copies for your own records.
